KPackViewer (KPV) Copyright 1998/1999 Eng.Ele. Paulo Castro <hook@netrio.com.br>

The basic inspiration to KPV was my own needs.

The lack of a central tool to visually deal with packages bothers me and this was the prime motivation to write KPV.

Until KPV I haven't found satisfactory utility to show packages structures in TreeView with GroupVision and powerfull search resources. (OK, MC can handle packages but not even close to this approach.... In fact I use both at once with far superior results..)

Especially consideration was made to allow Group Vision and to allow searching facilities in KPV.

I think that this greatly simplify package administration. The "Search" features turns KPV into a very useful tool.

As a Package Viewer I guess is satisfactory.
To deal with dependency checking is the task of the Distributions themselves! not a humble package viewer :-)
